SAN ANTONIO CUAJIMOLOYAS is located 36 miles (an hour and 30 minutes) away from Oaxaca City, it is one of the most beautiful communities in the North Sierra located at the highest altitude with 10,498 feet above sea level.
Cuajimoloyas has magnificent natural landscapes that make it an ideal place to take a hike and admire nature, practice mountain biking or horseback riding while enjoying the company of the fauna and flora.
In your visit to this community, you can have close contact with the spectacular rock formations, beautiful and peaceful plains, with charming sidewalks filled with rows of imposing giant agave plants. Enjoy San Antonio Cuajimoloyas, a tour through the cloudy forest!
ITINERARY:
We will meet at Casa de las Bugambilias B&B or at the front desk of your hotel, from where we will drive 40 minutes southeast on Highway 190 until we get to Tlacolula de Matamoros and then we will drive north 45 minutes until we get to Cuajimoloyas.
Trail I: Coyote Canyon Trail (Cañón del Coyote). Distance: 7 miles.
The tour of this trail begins by visiting the natural springs (Ojito de Agua), where the water comes through the cracks of a high cliff and continues up to the Coyote Canyon, where you will meet the amazing Coyote caves and where you will enjoy the splendid mountain landscapes from the North Sierra viewpoints.
We will start the hiking tour with a local guide from the community at 11 a.m. and we will finish at 2 p.m. The local guide will show us the flora, fauna and the trails. At 2 p.m. we will have lunch in a traditional restaurant in Cuajimoloyas and we will drive back to Oaxaca City at 3 p.m. On the way back we will stop to take panoramic pictures of the Tlacolula Valley from the mountain vistas.

MEETING POINT:
All the customers lodged in downtown Oaxaca will be picked up at the front desk of their hotel or at any other place in downtown Oaxaca.
We will establish a meeting point by telephone or email for travelers residing outside the city.
All tours normally end at the starting point, but this can be changed to another place in downtown Oaxaca depending on the customer´s preferences.
DURATION:
8 hours. Weather and traffic conditions might affect the length of the tour.

VW Transporter Mod. 2019 with A/C, liability insurance, purified water, and driver.
INCLUDED:
